Related to the 'hippie' subculture, 'Folk' originally began as a music genre dating back to the 19th Century. Today you'd find Folk influence in the likes of bands such as Mumford and Sons, Fleet Foxes and Feist. When it comes to Fashion think Farmers, Waistcoats, Lumberjacks and those hobos you find in the Mid-West on the back of a no-destination train singing their blues into a bottle of whiskey. All they need now is a flock of sheep. Perfect.
